Spring break for the kids was very busy this year. Dillon left on March 16 at 2:00 AM for Boston & New York City with LHS Marching Band. The marching band participated in the Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade, 2nd largest in the country. Over the course of a week Dillon toured Boston & New York City with his marching band buddies. They discovered historical sites, saw The Lion King & Blue Man group as well as visiting two area high schools and sharing musical performances with them. All in all a very busy 8 days for Dillon.
Lillian spent the first weekend of spring break with her cousin, Maggie. We skied Keystone, Beaver Creek, and Vail. It was great to spend some time with Maggie and ski with her. Lillian & I returned home Wednesday morning and spent the day with Lillian's friend, Michelle, lunch at Snooze, seeing the movie Hall Pass, and mani/pedi's!! Then we picked Dillon up at DIA after his flight had been delayed for 3 hours, making his arrival time 1:00 AM. Thursday, Dillon, Lillian, & Ilsa (Lillian's friend) went back to our place in the Dillon for the remainder of spring break. Friday, Lillian, Ilsa, & I went to Winter Park to cheer Maggie on in her National Championship Nastar race. Saturday, Lillian & Ilsa went tubing at Keystone & I skied. Then off to Breckenridge we went. We had a bite to eat at Crepes a la Cart--delicious--then walked up and down main street stopping in many of the unique shops! Sunday we played games at the condo then walked around River Run at Keystone and then stopped by the factory outlets. And then at about 5:00 PM we packed up and headed home saying good by to spring break for another year!
I had a great time spending time with Dillon & Lillian. Had some great skiing and sorry that the ski season is drawing to a close for another season. Now its back to daily life--laundry, planning & preparing my garden, getting new baby chicks, and researching Navajo Churro Sheep for our trip to New Mexico/Arizona in June for the Sheep is Life Celebration in Tsaile, Arizona!!
